Safety training

Plan, deliver and prove safety training – without paper sign-in sheets

Who needs which training, and when does a qualification expire? EHS Go answers both questions for every person and topic and sends a reminder before a gap appears.

In practice

Training on shift work

Three shifts, agency workers and new apprentices: in production it is hard to keep track of training. The matrix in EHS Go shows supervisors and shift leaders who still needs training before the next shift – and whose forklift authorisation is about to expire.

01Features

What the module does

Matrix of people and topics

See at a glance who is up to date, who is due soon and where training has lapsed.

Intervals and reminders

Set recurrence intervals – annually, or every six months for young workers. Owners are notified before expiry.

Qualifications with expiry dates

Forklift licence, first-aid certificate or electrical qualification: time-limited qualifications are monitored just like training.

Digital records

Attendance is documented with date, content and trainer and stored centrally.

Linked to operating instructions

Operating instructions form the basis of training. When a new version is released, schedule the refresher right away.

Confirmation in the app

Employees confirm training in the mobile app. For those without a smartphone, the trainer records attendance.

03Legal basis

Regulatory context

Article 12 of the EU Framework Directive requires employers to ensure that every worker receives adequate safety and health training on recruitment, on transfer and when new equipment or technology is introduced. In Germany, section 12 ArbSchG implements this duty, and DGUV Regulation 1 requires training to be repeated at least once a year and documented.

Key regulations

  • Directive 89/391/EEC, Art. 12
  • ArbSchG § 12
  • DGUV Regulation 1, § 4
  • ISO 45001, clause 7.2

05Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

How often does safety training have to be repeated?

In Germany at least once a year, and at least every six months for young workers. Additional training is required on recruitment, transfer, the introduction of new equipment or substances and after accidents.

Can employees confirm attendance themselves?

Yes, in the mobile app. For employees without a smartphone, the trainer records attendance.

Can visitors and contractors be briefed as well?

Yes. For visitors and external service providers, the safety briefing is part of the check-in in visitor management.

Does EHS Go replace face-to-face training?

EHS Go organises and documents training. Delivery remains with you – at the workstation or in a classroom session. What matters is that the content is understandable and specific to the job.
