Operating instructions

The valid version of every operating instruction – at every workstation

Operating instructions must be clear, specific to the workstation and up to date. EHS Go helps you write them, manages approval and ensures employees always see the current version.

In practice

Instructions right at the machine

At the milling machine, the press or the paint booth, the valid operating instruction belongs at the workstation. In EHS Go it is linked to the machine and available in the app – and when a new version is released, it is clear who needs refresher training.

01Features

What the module does

AI draft from the data sheet

Hazards, protective measures, emergency procedures, first aid and disposal are prepared from the safety data sheet.

Consistent structure

All instructions follow the same layout, which makes them easier to read and to train with.

Documented approval

Drafts are reviewed and approved; the date and approver are recorded.

Versioning

Every change creates a new version, and earlier versions remain archived.

Assigned to areas and sites

Filter instructions by department, site, substance or machine.

Mobile at the workstation

Employees find the valid instruction in the app – via search or directly from the equipment.

In Germany, written operating instructions (Betriebsanweisungen) are mandatory for work with hazardous substances (section 14 GefStoffV, structured according to TRGS 555), for work equipment with specific hazards (section 12 BetrSichV) and for biological agents (section 14 BioStoffV). They are the basis for employee training. Comparable written safe-work instructions are expected under ISO 45001 operational control (clause 8.1).

Key regulations

  • GefStoffV § 14
  • TRGS 555
  • BetrSichV § 12

05Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Which operating instructions does a business need?

For work with hazardous substances, for work equipment with specific hazards – such as machinery or forklift trucks – and for work with biological agents. The risk assessment determines which ones are required in detail.

Which languages are supported?

German and English. Further languages for employees with a different first language are available on request.

Can we use our own templates?

Yes. You can use your own texts and templates or import existing operating instructions.

What happens when a safety data sheet changes?

The instruction is linked to the substance. You revise the draft, approve the new version and schedule refresher training; the previous version remains archived.
