Site inspections

Site inspections that end with a report – not with retyping

An inspection is only as good as its follow-up. With EHS Go you capture findings on the spot, assign actions immediately and have the report ready by the time you leave the building.

In practice

Inspecting the production floor

Whether it is the monthly plant walk with the plant manager or the safety specialist's round: tablet in hand, traffic routes, machine guarding and housekeeping are checked, defects are photographed and assigned immediately – even in parts of the hall without Wi-Fi.

03Legal basis

Regulatory context

ISO 45001 (clause 9.1) requires organisations to monitor and measure their OH&S performance, and regular workplace inspections are one of the most direct ways to do so. In Germany, the Occupational Safety Act (ASiG, sections 3 and 6) requires safety specialists and occupational physicians to inspect workplaces at regular intervals and report deficiencies to the employer.

Key regulations

  • ISO 45001, clause 9.1
  • ASiG §§ 3, 6
  • ArbSchG § 3

05Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

How often should safety inspections take place?

The law does not prescribe a fixed frequency. You set the rhythm based on risk and the size of the operation; production and warehouse areas are usually inspected more often than offices.

Can we use our own checklists?

Yes. Start from templates, adapt the checkpoints or create your own checklists – for fire safety, housekeeping or machinery, for example.

Does the app work without an internet connection?

Yes. Inspections and photos can be captured offline. As soon as the device is back online, it synchronises automatically.

Who receives the inspection report?

You define the distribution list. The report is available as a PDF, and open actions remain visible to their owners until completed.
