Equipment inspections

Meet every inspection deadline without juggling calendars and spreadsheets

Ladders, racking, cranes, portable electrical equipment, fire extinguishers: every operation has dozens of items with different inspection intervals. EHS Go keeps the register, watches the dates and has the evidence ready.

In practice

Inspections in hall and warehouse

Overhead cranes, lifting gear, racking, ladders and portable electrical equipment each have their own deadlines and inspectors. EHS Go keeps every item of a plant in one register and alerts owners to due dates in time – before a crane runs without a valid inspection.

01Features

What the module does

Central inspection register

Every item with site, area, type and asset number – from the overhead crane to the step ladder.

Intervals and notifications

Set intervals per item or item type. Owners are notified before an inspection falls due.

Status at a glance

Passed, due or overdue: the condition of every item is immediately visible – per site or across the organisation.

Evidence with the asset

Inspection reports, records from external inspectors and photos are stored with the equipment.

Defects become actions

A finding turns into a corrective action in a few clicks – with a due date and an owner.

Mobile at the asset

Open the item in the app by asset number or QR code and record the inspection on the spot.

02Workflow

How it works in EHS Go

  1. 01

    Register items

Create equipment and installations or import them from existing lists.

  2. 02

    Set intervals

Derive inspection type and frequency from the risk assessment, manufacturer data and regulations.

  3. 03

    Inspect and record

Enter the result, attach the report and let the next date be calculated.

  4. 04

    Follow up defects

Assign findings as actions and track them until they are resolved.

03Legal basis

Regulatory context

The EU Work Equipment Directive 2009/104/EC (Art. 4) requires equipment exposed to deterioration to be inspected periodically by competent persons and the results to be recorded. In Germany, the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV, sections 3 and 14) obliges employers to define inspection types and intervals as part of the risk assessment.

Key regulations

  • Directive 2009/104/EC, Art. 4
  • BetrSichV §§ 3, 14
  • TRBS 1201
  • DGUV Regulation 3

05Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Who sets the inspection intervals?

The employer, based on the risk assessment. Manufacturer information, technical rules and guidance from the accident insurers provide orientation. In EHS Go you record the result as an interval per item or item type.

Can external inspection providers be included?

Yes. Upload reports from external inspectors as a document on the item; the date and result are entered in the register.

Does it work for installations with special inspection requirements?

Yes. Every item can be managed with its own interval and evidence – including installations inspected by approved bodies.

Can we import our existing inspection register?

Yes. We migrate spreadsheets with items and last inspection dates during onboarding.
